Maddux is a bit of a trouble maker. He likes to talk, and sometimes his voice sounds alarmingly human. He is obsessed with cords, especially thin cords, such as those on CHRISTMAS lights (yes, he is the reason the bottom of the tree in the second picture is not lit up.) All phone chargers and other cords must be hidden when not in use, or he will chew them in half. He also likes to bite US, as a way of showing affection or demanding immediate attention!
He is playful, active, curious and pretty darn tolerant of anyone or anything that comes into our home. He's never been territorial, as long as he can figure out a way to entice new residents and guests to play a game or two.

Maddux is our escape artist. If there's a closed door, he is positive he needs to be on the other side of it. He regularly gets outside, but he just meanders casually until one of us grabs him and carries him back into the house. He has gotten trapped in our garage on several occasions, as well. When he's done exploring all the stuff he is SURE we keep out there just to torture him, he starts meowing and scratching at the door. Because it is our job to serve him, we answer his calls and open the door so he can stroll back into the house, covered in dust from the garage.
It's impossible not to love such a willful and determined critter. He reminds me that where there's a will, there's a way! As a side note, he has the softest fur of any cat I've ever met, so it's always a treat when he allows us to pet him.
